It’s great IF you are HEALTHY. However, if you suffer from Type 2 Diabetes (got it at work from heavy stress), carbs are a no-no. so, no pasta or rice. Meats are protein, which is a top food item, including beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, goat, fish. These should be eaten at every meal. Dairy, heavy on good fats like butter and heavy cream, are ok, but most all other dairy is discouraged, including milk and yogurts.
Cheeses are desirable. Grains are totally unacceptable. Nut flours must be used instead.
So, although this type of eating is a really good idea, it is so ONLY if you are healthy, NOT if you have diabetes.
I can modify a lot of these recipes, but the carb heavy ones, I have to opt out of. A shame, because I do find these meals enticing.

Just FYI: this comment section has no ability to copy/paste from another format. I tried as I made mistakes in the body of the comment and tried to insert correct changes, but could not. So I re-wrote it on a doc, and tried to copy/paste but it wouldn’t allow that either. HUGE irritation

Hi, Dani! The Mediterranean way of eating does emphasizes moderation with dairy, but there’s some flexibility in interpretation. The “1-2 servings per week” guideline generally applies to heavier dairy products, such as butter, cream, or full-fat milk. These are less common in traditional Mediterranean diets. Cheese (like feta or Parmesan) and yogurt are more prominent in the Mediterranean diet, but they are typically used in small amounts. A sprinkle of cheese for flavor or a single serving of yogurt as part of a meal doesn’t add up to excessive dairy consumption. And finally, traditional Mediterranean diets emphasize high-quality, minimally processed dairy products. It’s better to opt for plain, unsweetened yogurt and cheeses made from goat or sheep milk when possible.

It says 1-2 times per week, but cheese and yoghurt are used numerous times throughout this meal plan. How does this work? Thanks.
